Join us for a performance of New Blood in Airdrie, Alberta on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Doors open at 3:30 PM. Performance begins at 4:00 PM. A commemoration event for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

About the event

New Blood: A Story of Reconciliation 

The widely acclaimed production of New Blood blends Blackfoot music and contemporary music by Peter Gabriel to create an amazing piece of theatre celebrating Blackfoot history and traditions. 

Poetry, Song, Dance, Contemporary & Traditional featuring Siksika Musicians & Dancers, performers from Strathmore, Alberta & the music of Peter Gabriel. Conceived by Deanne Bertsch at Strathmore High School. 

Doors open at 3:30 PM. Performance begins at 4:00 PM.

Admission is FREE for First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples. Tickets for non-Indigenous people are $10.00 for adults (18+) and $5.00 for Youth (3-17) and includes fees and gst. Tickets can be purchased  through Bert Church Theatre

A commemoration event bringing our communities together in truth and reconciliation, honouring Survivors, their families, and their communities.
